We are in receipt of your emails dated 3rd March, 2012 and 6th March, 2012.

As our panel scholars had to travel to Andhra, to discuss with Jehovah’s Witness
who were publicizing for a debate as they believed that Jerry Thomas’s group did
not debate properly, we are forced to write one reply for both your emails.

We congratulate you for having chosen April 28th and 29th to debate for the
second time on the topic “Is Quran God’s word?”

Make the auditorium arrangements immediately.

We request you to obtain Police permission from a responsible officer without
delay and send us a copy of the same by 12th April, 2012 because we and our
audience will be able to reserve the journey ticket only if you send this before 15
days ( ie 12th April) from the date of the debate.

We have already mentioned that we need 15 day notice for our audience and us
to make necessary travel arrangements.

We presume not to give room for unnecessary to and fro argument if you fail to
provide us the copy by April 12th. Hence, in case you fail to provide the same by
April 12th, we might have to postpone the debate dates to 15 days from the day we
receive the copy; since, we want this debate to happen at any cost. We believe
that you will not have any objection.

Other than, you getting the permission we have discussed everything else.

After you obtain the permission as said above and send us, our Videographers
and live webcast technicians along with equipments will be present in the
auditorium; which you book and send us the copy of the receipt; by 7 am.

We will be available in the auditorium you book before 15 minutes ( ie 9.45 am)
from the start time of the debate. And our audience will be in by 9.30 am.

You have mentioned in your letter that we are violating the agreement of
meeting the Police Commissioner. However, this is not true. Last year an
agreement was signed between us. As per this, two debates in the topic “Is Bible
God’s word?” and “Is Quran God’s word?” are fulfilled.

We think that it is fruitless to discuss about the agreement after you yourself
came up with certain rules shifting the agreement.

You yourself told that you will be conducting this debate in Kochi, arrange the
auditorium and get Police Permission. These are the new things you came up
with. It is meaningless to talk about old agreement after one side coming up with
new set of rules and the other side accepting it.

We remind you that we have accepted your new agreement request in order to
debate on all the topics we decided as per the old agreement.

Moreover, we remind you your phrase proposing for the debate in Kochi initially
in your email dated Febraury 3rd.

These are your words.

Since you quoted “if you are not willing to approach the Joint Commissioner along
with SAN”, you yourself accepted that if the debate is to be held in Kochi, it is not
necessary for both of us to meet the Joint Commissioner together. Why don’t you
understand that inviting us to meet the Commissioner is against the decision –
which you proposed and that which we accepted?

By your above statement, you are actually violating the new agreement by
insisting us to meet the Commissioner together.

You wrote to us that “there is no ban to debate in kochi, and you don’t wish to
approach the joint commissioner with us; hence come down to kochi for debate
and we shall make the arrangements”. Now how would it be if you ask us for

letter and insist us to come if commissioner calls?

Even then we agree that we should also give letter for seeking Police permission.
The draft you sent is not suitable for seeking permission. In the letter seeking
permission, if false statements appear and if police happens to notice them
during the last minute, they might revoke the granted permission. Since the draft
you sent is written by hiding truth and spreading falsehood.

The debate to be held between us is not intended to create binding between
us, nor an initiative to promote understanding between us. And this is not an
academic program as well. Rather this is a debate to expose to the world as to
who is the liar. We have clarified this during the 1st minute of our conversation

At any cost we will not tell anything beside truth. Be it in a letter seeking
permission.

If you seek permission with the draft you sent, how do you assume that the Kerala
police won’t cross check with the Tamil Nadu Intelligence Bureau? If they knew it,
then we will be legally penalized for providing false information.

We insist you that if you seek permission by writing truth, then nobody can
hinder.

Hence, instead of seeking permission by mentioning this as “discussion”, send
us the draft immediately by seeking for police permission and protection of
either specifying “debate between Muslims and Christians on the topic “Is Quran
God’s word?” Or alternatively, specify “debate between SAN and Tamil Nadu
Thowheed Jamaath in order to identifying truth on the topic “Is Quran God’s
word?”. And we shall send you the duly signed copy.

You have written in your mail that if commissioner asks, we should come. Like
already specified, just because we won’t come along with you, you invited us
to Kochi. In Chennai, you refused to come along with us and spoke to the Police

officers and cancelled the auditorium. How do you ask us to come to Kochi when
we told that we won’t be coming along with you even in Chennai?

In case we come in person with you to meet the commissioner in Kochi, and if the
permission is rejected, we fear that you might blame us for the cancellation. We
don’t have to come along with you for booking the auditorium; similarly we don’t
have to come along with you for seeking Police permission. We don’t wish to give
room for you to accuse us of ruining the debate.

We are ready to give how much ever letter you ask, whatever document you ask,
we won’t come along with you. This is the condition which you yourself set and
accepted.

You have written that for the debate “Is Quran God’s Word?”, you are ready to
walk an extra mile.

We would like to remind you one thing. We have come forward to walk 1500
miles; Chennai-Kochi-Chennai. After the debate “Is Quran God’s word?” was held
in Chennai, we have accepted to debate for the second time on the same topic in
Kochi based on all conditions you put forth.

Though you haven’t accepted any of our conditions, we took this stand only
because you came forward to debate on the topic “Is Quran God’s word?”.

Therefore, we appeal you to compose the draft seeking police permission by
telling truth, telling full truth, telling only truth.

in Chennai on 21st and 22nd without any untoward incidents. Hence, we have
planned to conduct the debate on the topic “Is Quran God’s word?”in Kochi
on …………………….. at the auditorium…………………………….. We request your
permission and protection for this debate in which 150 from each religions will be
participating.

Let us know if you are ok with this. We will send the signed copy. If there is any
change and if you notify us, we will reconsider.
